Jymme Golden

Jymme Golden is a painter primarily in the medium of soft pastels. She fell in love with the vibrancy and immediacy of the color, the way the colors layer, blend, and catch the light as almost pure pigment on the surface.

She finds inspiration, solace, renewal, and unending fascination in the natural world. This can be in her own Minneapolis neighborhood or favorite places like Lake Superior and the North Shore, midwest prairies, woodlands, and wetlands. She especially loves painting birds and their environments.

Mindfulness, paying attention to things as they are, and seeing that everything changes, that everything is impermanent, strongly inform her life and art.
