Lucienne Schroepfer
I am an individual who loves puzzles and games; each visual art piece begins as almost a challenge. How best to communicate what I see when looking at something? Feeling an emotion? What elements and colors can be changed to make it that much more powerful? Is the grass soft or crunchy? How many greens are present?
Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, I came to Macalester College. I married a local. Completely self-taught, I have been sewing and quilting for over 20 years, beginning each and every day with an hour in the studio.
Whether sewing together patchwork from bright fabrics, putting together a visual art piece to frame, or long-arm quilting, fabric has become my favorite medium of choice. Living in Saint Paul, my family (thankfully) tolerates multiple machines and rooms of fabric.
